axis 205 + blank screen in 640x480 (not in 320x240)

Post by verus »

Hello,

i am new to zoneminder, installed axis 205 (network)
It works with presets AXIS IP, 320x240, jpeg without a problem but i need 640x480.

The camera can handle 640x480.
When i choose the presets for 640x480, i get a blank screen.
Capture width is 640
capture height is 480
Resolution on the camera is set at 640x480.

when i copy the ip address and the path in the browser, i can see the image.
(http://x.x.x.x/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?r ... on=640x480)
so i am sure that it works.

When i use /axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=320x240
with a capture width: 640 and capture height: 480, i also have a blank screen but i don't know if that has something to do with it because resolution and capture parameters are not the same.

then a second problem, it doesn't refresh in internet explorer, exept if i push F5.
In firefox no problem.

thanks for helping me out.
regards, Phil.

Is ZoneMinder not refreshing in Internet Explorer, or a direct link to the camera not refreshing?

hello,

As i look good, IE is refreshing (on another computer), but very slow (about every 7 seconds).
it is zoneminder that is not refreshing, the direct link (http://x.x.x.x/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?r ... on=640x480) is also not refreshing (not in IE & not in firefox).
the liveview from acis is working fine with IE, zm also works fine with firefox.

then i get:

404 Not Found
The requested URL /axis-cgi/jpg/video.cgi was not found on this server.

but if it works with firefox, then it should also work with IE, right ?

Internet Explorer does not handle MJPEG streams. Why would they need to support such a ridiculously easy and primitive standard? (rolls eyes)

I don't know & i don't care.
There was a test i did with jpg and mpjeg and the mpjeg took less Mb and that is what counts to me. I don't give a thing about what the standard is and what not.
