so my hard drive is full cause the stupid purge when full filter didn't work. So as you know I can't loginto ZM so.... I have been running "sudo du -sh /*" all night trying to find where the video is stored but it's getting pretty frustrating. so Where is video stored and how do I delete it? I've scanned forums and read the user manual and all and everything I see points me to the wrong directory. all my settings should be default I didn't really change anything I installed zoneminder from the package manager which also automatically installed apache2.
thanks.
[edit] I found the events but they're all stored as seperate jpgs for each frame, is there a way to change this to video so it takes up less space also is there a disadvantage to this?
full hard drive... awesome
No, there's not a way to store them as movies instead. You can set up a filter to store them additionally as movies, but that would seem to have the opposite effect of what you're looking for.
Now that you've found the events dir, go into it and start deleting some jpegs until you have space. Do a "zmpkg.pl stop" first, just in case. When you're done deleting some random amount of jpegs, run "zmaudit.pl", and when that's done, "zmpkg.pl start", login, and configure your purgewhenfull filter correctly. Pretty sure it's in the faq on the wiki. It's not stupid, it's fairly effective and easy to set up.
