I'm trying to install ZoneMinder 1.23.x (RPM) in Mandriva 2009.1 spring, but get an error for the libavcodec.so.51. I've Installed ffmpeg (plf). what to do next ? ^^
Ok. a closer look on this issue seems like there's more than just a "copy and paste" fix for this. I got kinda same problem as this guy describes for the 1.23.x RPM (MIB) in the 2009.1 version.
"I filed a bug on libavcodec.so.51 missing from the Cooker repos a good while back: https://qa.mandriva.com/show_bug.cgi?id=45056 - it is now an upstream bug.
It appears it wasn't fixed upstream, but was upgraded anyway to libavcodec.so.52 anyway, even with the packages that depend on libavcodec.so.51."
This problem never occure on my 2009 box with same RPM mentioned
Guess this case is closed until a 1.24.x RPM release for Mandriva, or/and the 2010 version ??
