Dear friends!
I'm a total newbie on Linux so please have this in mind.
I've installed a fresh copy of the newest Ubuntu Desktop, then I insalled a fresh copy of Zoneminder 1.24.2 (I found a "pre-compiled" application from a link in this forum which enabled me to just install the application instead of the ".tar.gz" files which I don't know how to use....).
Zoneminder and Ubuntu works perfectly
My problems occur when I'm trying to connect to my Acti network IP camera. I use the built-in preset in Zoneminder and insert the correct IP address. In the camera I have changed the following based on a couple of other forums threads I've read regarding Acti cameras:
Resolution: 640x480
RTSP Auth: No authentication
But I still cannot get any image in Zoneminder. I have tried almost anything (I think), and the only thing that shows in Zoneminder is a little red cross in the top left corner of the image view when I try to access the camera.
Thanks.
