Source listings still in red

So having set everything up I find that Function is Properly orange but all the device paths are still red. All the equipment is known good, I've increased the shared memory to ZoneMinder up to somewhere around 330000000 and tried any of the Device formats that might work under both of the capture methods. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I had similar issues and this fixed my problem:

sudo adduser www-data video

In my case using a quad kodicom 4400r card i have to select only compatible "Capture palette" and Capture width & height pixels inside the Source properties of the camera setup.
Settings that work for me are RGB555 or gray and capture resolution 320X240, 352X288 & 720x576.
