Hey guys! It's been a while, but I successfully got Zoneminder up and running with the ArchLinux LiveCD. I have two Axis 207, which run perfectly without a hitch. I actually had to do some scripting to set zoneminder to restart the feed every 12 hours so they wouldn't crash, and since then they have been running for a week without a problem.
My main issue is that tomorrow is my last day at work before Christmas Break, which lasts until January 4th. So far Zoneminder has been recording events but deleting them every day (for space?) Also, when I set up the HD, I partitioned to have root and home separate because I figured I would just set the home partition as the record space. Zoneminder, however, thought differently and decided to save everything on the 9.3 GB root partition INSTEAD of the 360 GB home partition.
1) How do I change the save directory?
2) How do I stop ZM from deleting old events, or at least it reach a higher number of events before deletion?
I appreciate your help, I need this done today or tomorrow!
Change default video record directory.
check this for question 1:

You can edit the filter Purgewhenfull and set the disk space higher though I would not exceed 90% unless the events are on a separate partition form the rest of the system.
(edit) Change to correct link. Maybe now that makes since.
