I have an AMD64 3000+ with 1.5gb of DDR400. For a 15 minute or 30 minute (I forget wich it was), it took a VERY long time to generate. (somewhere in the 20-40 minute range). Of course, my computer is keeping track of 12 DCS-900/DCS-1000/DCS-1000w cameras (2 900's, 2 1000w's, and the rest 1000's)

Interestingly enough, that single video I made was the last time I could get the video generation thing to even work. Now I get a message that says "generating video" (or something to that effect) and no even a second later, in the same winow in red letters, I get a failure notice. No idea why. Nothing shows up in /var/log/messages at all. Running 'ffmpeg' from the command line works fine. I'm at my witts end..

So in short, let it run for a while. Especially if your machine is slower than mine.

The easiest thing to do in the first instance is to run zmvideo.pl <event id> from the command line. That exactly what the web page does anyway. That way you can check if any errors are produced and also look in zmvideo.log for the same thing.
