Yeah ffmpeg is installed and working fine. To support that I can generate and view and download Events in ZM and that all works and uses ffmpeg. And I use MediaTomb and it uses ffmpeg for transcoding streams and that works also.

Now when you say the correct ffmpeg version, what might that be? I've got 0.5.21 and all the libs match up.

To set up the stream I go to Options -> Images click on the mpeg radio button, set MPEG_LIVE_FORMAT & MPEG_REPLAY_FORMAT to swf, swf is listed in FFMPEG_FORMATS, then save.

Then when I go and try to watch a monitor or event I get a white screen, jpeg for both work fine.

swf i have found to be picky regarding framerate.
To test use asf its its more 'forgiving'

once you know ffmpeeg is configured correctly you can move to flash streaming. eg i find that flash streaming works best below 5 fps but above 1.5

I tried all the formats long ago, none worked, but I just tried asf again, FireFox on a linux box does not have a plugin for asf nor can one be found. I don't use Windoze, my Laptop is Linux and has Windoze as a dual boot but I rarely boot it. I have a Desktop with Windoze because my CAD and Studio only runs there. It was running over the weekend to update my TomTom but according to munin hadn't been on for about a month or so. I may have to try it there.

Here's the thing, I have two cameras running at the moment in ZM, one is an IP camera that's pulling jpegs at 15fps, the other is an analog camera connected to a BlueCherry PV-981 pulling frames at 30fps.

When I switch to mpeg I can view the IP camera at its 15fps. When I try to view the analog camera white screen but it says the frame rate is 30fps.

It now looks like the socket is there on the ZM server for the analog camera viewing and if I monitor network traffic I see the ~6Mb increase in traffic on that subnet when attempting to view the analog camera. So it appears the stream is getting to my Laptop but FireFox/Shockwave is not displaying it.

I set the analog camera down to 15fps max but still no joy. Again white screen but the frame rate does then say it's at 15fps.

So I'm still at a loss as to what is not working properly.
