zoneminder capture file data location - ubuntu

Post by bob82604 »

I am using Ubuntu 8.04TLS.
Where does zoneminder/mysql store the video files captured?
Right now I am using a single 1TB drive and would like to use smaller drives for the OS and Swap drives and the 1TB for the drive for the video/picture database drive.

HUH??? zoneminder keeps snaps (pictures) in a folder called events... it might be located in diferent places depending on your distro/installation, might me at /usr/share/zoneminder/events, or /var/www/html/zoneminder/events...

and mysql keeps track of those pictures on a database, like a record of where and what is everything located... and stuffs...

You should not delete any events manualy... you should use filters... there is one by default called PurgeWhenFull, if active it should had an "*"... do you know how to use filters???

I second that.

Although the integrity check "should" see what you did and correct the db.
