Got the admin pass changed, but the status is always Stopped

How do I get the status to say "started" in the top of the main zoneminder window.

I can monitor, but the events arent recording, I am pretty sure that's because it says "stopped".

can anyone help at all?

in order to get ZM working I need to:

zmpkg.pl start

and in order to get the picture to update I always had to:

zmc --device 0 &

but I still cant get it to say started.

Any help would be appreciated!

What do you see in the ZM and messages logs? What version of zm and what distro do you have?

You posted this in the 'previous versions' forum so unless it's a non-1.19.x version of ZM I think your message is probably in the wrong place.
