Cannot get camera to show up after setting up a monitor.

Post by allanmacdonald »

Hello all,

I very recently purchased a CZ8784 from camsecure.co.uk. This is a 4 channel 4 chip BT878 capture card. I can get it to work using xawtv, and can even capture with it, but I cannot get a new monitor assigned to one of the channels to display in zoneminder. I'm not sure what to do next and I've been having a bit of trouble trying to search for a solution. If someone knows a solution, or can point me to the right solution, please help.

I'll also be emailing this problem to camsecure's support email... if I get
a response from them which fixes my problem, I'll post the solution here.

Best Regards,

Allan Macdonald

p.s. See below for log excerpts, etc. Please feel free to reply if more information is needed.

My OS is Ubuntu 9.10. Zoneminder is 1.24.1.

Thanks kingofkya!

I knew I was doing something wrong! Do you mean "capture palette"? So, what capture palette setting should I be using? This stuff is all very new to me.

Cheers,
Allan
