HI,
I'm using modect on a dozen axis IP cams and I'm trying to save CPU time.
I've had a good read of the forums and managed to make some considerable savings.
But I want more!
I'm considering reducing the image resolution as less pixels = less cpu over head , however I'd like to maintain the highest possible resoution for recording.
So is there a way to set the modect resolution different from the event record resoution?
modect at low res, record at high res
Thanks.
I was being hopeful asking as ZM would have to store BOTH images (i.e buffer two copies one at low res for analysis and one at high res for storing) so while the CPU would go down the IO would go UP.
I don't want the off load the modect, I have a range of cameras and not all of them do it plus I'd like a uniform level of detection
Thanks for the tip though, guess its time to buy something with i7, quad or Extreme in its name
