Hello All,
I managed to solve my earlier problem and am now facing new one.
I have setup ZoneMinder 1.24.4 in Red Hat environment.
I am able to start ZoneMinder through the web interface and everything
works except that images are not being displayed from the camera.
Basics:
I have an IP camera -> IP address: 192.168.1.20
It is working fine.
http://192.168.1.20/videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=
gives a good videostream in Firefox so the camera is working.
But when I click the Monitor name in the ZoneMinder web interface, it pulls
up a blank screen.
BTW, the camera model is not listed in the dropdown
of the Presets.
Any suggestions how to troubleshoot?
Thanks
Murali

Hi,
How did you configured your monitor ? Should be something like:
General Tab:
Source Type : Remote
Enabled : checked
Maximum FPS : 6
Alarm Maximum FPS : 12
Reference Image Blend %ge : 9
Source Tab:
Remote Protocol: HTTP
Remote Method: Simple
Remote Host Name: 192.168.1.20
Remote Host Port: 80
Remote Host Path: /videostream.cgi?user=admin&pwd=
Remote Image Colors: 24 bit color
Capture Width (pixels): 320
Capture Height (pixels): 240
Buffers:
Image Buffer Size (frames): 40
Warmup Frames: 18
Pre Event Image Count: 18
Post Event Image Count: 60
Stream Replay Image Buffer: 480
Alarm Frame Count: 4
Check these parameters and post the results!
Good luck,
PacoLM

Problem solved with image not displaying
I solved the problem with image not displaying on monitor screen as follows.
I copied the zoneminder cgi executables to /usr/local/apache2/cgi-bin.
Also configured the httpd.conf file correctly to point to the cgi-dir.
Now it works and I am able to see the images in the Monitor window.
Thanks to all who replied to me privately.

Murali

Cheap Ip Camera
I have an extremely inexpensive ip camera (SEQ5302).
I can view the live feed directly from Firefox, but I can't view the image though the ZM console.
I installed ZM from the liveCD (ver. 1.22.2).
I verified my settings with PacoLM, and still no image.
Is there something else I am missing?

Hi there, thanks for the reply.
With Firefox I can view the camera image using /video.cgi.
The address still shows up in RED on the ZM console, however, now when I monitor the camera I get a black screen, where before I got a blank window with the broken link icon in it.
Do you have any thought from here?
Thanks again

Well, I have 2 different models of DLink camera's. I have found that having no login or password (if allowable) or just using an admin login and nothing for the password.
The DCS900W's are much more reliable than the DCS920's (newer - now made by CISCO).
Usually, through the day I get some connect, disconnect (black) and reconnect. Can't get any settings or log entries to give me more info, other than "LOST CONNECTON, Try reconnect".
