removable devices

Post by akam »

Hello,
I want to use ZM with my AXIS M1011 video cameras on remote objects, but i have no any hight bandwith to them :(
I want to use USB drives on my ZM servers on remote objects and then transport them to main office for the viewing of the recoded video from objects. Can i do it using ZM? If anybody bear on it?
Or can you suggest me another solution?
Any help please?

It's not very feasible. As soon as you remove the drive, the database would be left behind. Once the drive is removed, ZM would erase all the events from the database and when you bring the drive back, it would in turn erase all the events.

akam,

I haven't done it yet, but what about setting up a CRON job to export the events every day to a AVI file and just copying that to your USB drive?
