The pictures I posted earlier were in low-light indeed...MJN wrote:You sound quite into this camera but how would you rate the images compared to other cameras? I thought the samples above lacked sharpness and the colour definition seemed quite off. Or were the shots taken in quite low (and incandescent) light?

The old Axis 2100 I had before had a little better image, however on 320x240 it was able to give max 10fps in full light! Plus, it featured some really stupid mechanism of improving low-light frames in detriment of the fps, so I kept having slipping/wowing fps recordings when light turned on and off... Wasn't able to turn this 'feature' off.
This model of course is not a top-quality one, however the price I paid for it (~42$ for a used one) can't be beat, because it features:
- more than 30fps at 352x288
- standard lens compatible
- officially supporting Jpeg frame query and Mjpeg stream push
- full documentation and no need to hack anything
- smaller size than the average IP cameras
- real-time audio over the IP connection (not interesting from today's ZM point of view, but could be useful)
I also had an Edimax IC1500 but that costed 3 times much, no standard lens, no way of extracting Mjpeg/Jpeg in a straight way... I had to sell it and I was happy I was able to!
I don't say it has the best picture quality, but I know there are many people out there like me who can't afford hundreds of $$ to spend on pro IP cameras, to secure their homes, not making bussiness out of it... Life is always a compromise, so this camera - a good compromise, imho. Afaik this model has ran out, anyway, so one can get it only in used condition.

It took me two years of researching and I was waiting for ZoneMinder 1.24, while my IP cameras are mjpeg not mpeg4...
Finally I found this topic on the forum... Thanks guys!!!
