red source text

First I am using Ubuntu 9.04. I installed zoneminder V 1.24.1. My logitech 4000 works in cheese and camorama but not in ZM ( the source is in red text),monitor in orange I increased the available memory to zm per a post I read but still no go. Anybody got another idea? Thanks in advance
