Ubuntue 10.04 update broke anolog cameras remote work

First off spare me the shared memory sugestion its set as is the modprobe line.

xawtv can see the card fine so its working.

O k hers what the problem was to moved my events folder from /var/lib/zm to /var/cache/zoneminder

looks to be that the installer forgot to change permisions to www-data. thats why my remote camera worked it was newly created.

Can you tell me exactly what you did to fix it? I'm running 10.04 and when I first installed ZM it worked fine but it suddenly stopped working and won't autostart. If I start it manually after I log in with /etc/init.d/zoneminder start it works OK but it refuses to auto start and I can't seem to find the log files anywhere.
