At this point I think I am going to try a complete system downgrade to 9.10 and follow the instruction from there.

IT NOW WORKS!!! (must have been something with the world cup - VIVA ESPANA!

After a lot of time wasted, I think I found a solution (Ubuntu 8.10 x64):
edit the file /usr/bin/zmdc.pl (#sudo gedit /usr/bin/zmdc.pl)
insert the following line:

$ENV{LD_PRELOAD} = '/usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so';

this line should be inserted just before the "my @daemons = (" line

just restart zoneminder and it magically works !

DespuÃ©s de mucho tiempo perdido, creo que he encontrado una soluciÃ³n (Ubuntu 8.10 x 64):
editar el archivo / usr / bin / zmdc.pl (# sudo gedit / usr / bin / zmdc.pl)
insertar la siguiente lÃnea:

$ ENV () LD_PRELOAD = '/ usr/lib/libv4l/v4l1compat.so;

esta lÃnea debe insertarse justo antes de "mis demonios @ = (" lÃnea de

simplemente reinicie ZoneMinder y funciona por arte de magia!
