Capture card & camera advice

Post by jeastham »

Hi,

I'm in the market for the following :

1 x 8ch 240fps capture card with a supported chipset.
or
2 x 4ch 120fps capture cards with a supported chipset

and 8 compatible cameras.

I'm a little confused as to what TYPE of cameras I should be looking for. Basically; they need to be compatible with the 4/8ch capture card, and preferably wired. But there are CCD cameras, CMOS cameras, cameras that can connect directly to a TV, etc.

What type of camera should I be searching for ? Is there some kind of collective term for the type of camera I need ?

Thanks in advance

Justin

I'm able to answer my own question.....

I called Camsecure; and the card I'm looking at (and presumably all multi-channel capture cards) work with Composite Video

Cheers
