Capture is slow by 5 seconds

Post by Alan87i »

Xubuntu 10.4
Kodicom clone using

Code: Select all

options i2c-algo-bit bit_test=1
options bttv gbuffers=16 card=102,102,102,102,102,102,102,102 radio=0,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 tuner=4,4,4,4,4,4,4,4 chroma_agc=1 combfilter=2 full_luma_range=1 coring=1 autoload=0

set the shared memory saw no difference.
inten board 2.9 Ghx dual core 4 GB ram.

When I'm watching 1 monitor (all I have ATM) The video is displayed about 5 or 6 seconds delayed. I can get up walk in front of the camera and sit back down and watch myself getup turn around take 4 steps and sit back down?

I also notice playing back events is a task, the old 123 version was instant ! The new version if I play the top event and then click the <+ button the event Id will change after 4 or 5 seconds but the event won't play.

I installed the ZM arch live disk . Changed the options to card=77,77,77,77 and so on.
Load at idle is now at 0.06 with 2 monitors in Modect and 3 remote monitors in modect from my other system.

The remote monitors are flawless and have instant videoI wave my hand and see it at the same time on the screen.
How ever the local monitors still have a 3 second delay from capture to displaying. This is not viewed from the ZM box but from my desktop.

Is there something I'm missing or could it be the intel mother board I'm using. Had a lot of distros that would not even boot on this board.
Xubuntu 10.4 ran fast but had terrible ZM performance. High loads with the same hardware.
