Microsoft LifeCam Cinema

Post by sjlsam »

I have ZM installed and running, and my Microsoft LifeCam Cinema running on Ubuntu 32 bit desktop (works fine in Skype, at /dev/video0)

I cant seem to get it working in ZoneMinder

I have tried several different FPS, Format, and Palette settings

No image is drawn when trying to view the camera

The only time I did get an image to draw was when I used the following settings: 320x200 resolution, Video for Linux V. 1, RGB24 - but the image was completely black and showed Idle/0 FPS

The Lifecam cinema natively runs at 1280x720 so I assumed I needed to use resolutions at the same aspect ratio, I have tried 480x200, 800x450, etc.

And since its widescreen I have tried NTSC and ATSC

I havent been able to find any combination of settings that works.

Does anyone know what I can try?

Thank you

Have you set shared memory?
I would start there.
