Adjusting sensitivity of Modect

Post by SquALeD »

Hi all,

I've been using Zoneminder 1.24 for a while now on Ubuntu 10.04 server and have it running very well.

I have 2 IP cams. One is set to Record and one is set to Modect.

I've only just started playing with Modect and have just set up one zone which is 100% of the room and I'm using the "Best, high sensitivity" preset which detects a person no problems but I would like it to detect what our cats are doing in the daytime when were out :) and its not quite sensitive for this yet.

I had a look at this thread: http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16515 which gave me some ideas but I'm still not that sure - Would it be better to go to alarmedpixels instead of blobs?

Basically the Modect preset "Best, high sensitivity" is almost perfect for me but i'd like to raise the sensitivity up until it a cat would trigger it. What would be the best way to go about this?

Thanks a lot in advance...

3 posts in a week or so and no replies to any of them. Am I doing something wrong here?

Surely someone can point me in the right direction? I'm looking at the docs right now but its a bit confusing. Had a good search on the forum as well but the same.

There's just a few too many options to play with for me at present!

Zoneminder itself is working great, I just need a bit of guidance with this sensitivity setting.

Any help would be great....
