AXIS Motion Detection

Post by hummingwolf »

I am trying to off-load motion detection to my AXIS 212PTZ cameras to lighten the load on ZM. I followed the instructions here: http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.ph ... nDetection, but when I test the connection to my ZM box, I get this: Connection failed: Connection refused. Whenever I try a different syntax besides just the IP address, I get an "Illegal Network Address" message. I have searched the WIKI, Forums and AXIS support site but to no avail. I can see that many have been successful with this. Any ideas on what I am doing wrong.

I am running ZM 1.24 on Ubuntu 10.04. Thanks for any help with this!

Thank you kingofkya for responding. Unfortunately, I do not have a public accessible website to link images too... If it helps:

I do not have authentication setup in Zoneminder (so I don't know why it is refusing connection from my Axis cameras)

The firmware on the Axis cameras is the latest, v4.49

In the Axis Event Server setup, I used the IP of my ZM box and made sure the port to use was 6802

In the Axis Triggered Event setup:
Respond to Trigger... is set as "always"
Triggered by... "Motion detection"
When Triggered... "Send TCP notification" Message: 1|on 5|5|cause|text|showtext
and... Send notifications continuously while event is active

In ZM Options:
OPT_USE_AUTH is unselected
OPT_TRIGGERS is selected
HTTP_VERSION is set to 1.1 (although I also tried 1.0)

Thank you again for your time. I do appreciate it!

*Update*

I setup an http event (axis interface) using only the ZM ip address and tested the connection successfuly. Any ideas why I am getting a "connection refused" when testing a tcp event? Has anyone run into this? Is there a special syntax to use? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
