Reduce 24 bit color to 8 bit color?

Reduce 24 bit color to 8 bit color?

Is there a possibility to reduce the colors from 24 bit to 8 bit to reduce the server traffic?
ZM Versions = 1.36.33
zmeventnotification Version = "6.1.28"

color no but you can switch it to grey color mode but few browsers or cameras support this.
Besides mpeg would be better for low bandwidth.

Thank you for the reply. But when I check the mpg option there is no video output?!? :roll:
