I'm totally new to ZoneMinder and don't know what capture card will work or if there's a general "this card will do fine" suggestion available. I also don't know if I should look at PCI or PCI-E since my board supports both types. Can someone please help me out and if you've had good / working results with any specific card, could you please post a link or model info here so I can scoop one up from Newegg.com?

It said install Windows 98 or better so I installed Linux...
Take a look over at BlueCherry.net, they're ZoneMinder friendly, I believe you can even get a discount if you mention ZoneMinder.
I've got the PV-981 4 port PCIe and it works fine on linux. I originally had a problem with it and an MSI motherboard when I was building the system, hung on boot every time. Turned out to be an MSI problem, soon as I switched to an Asus MB with the same exact nVidia chipset everything worked fine and still is. Something in MSI implementation of nVidia's 570 chipset or the MSI's BIOS made it incompatible.
Also there might be an approved or working hardware list in the Wiki or documentation here.
