I am having problems getting ZM to work with this camera.
/var/log gives an error when it tries to set the camera up it seems to be failing on the whiteness parameter - it gives error - invalid parameter.
Anyone any ideas?

Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Have you tried switching off STRICT_VIDEO_CONFIG in the Options?
Phil,
Phil,
Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Yes - I tried that - the daemon continues to run but there are still errors.
Here's what I get with the option on:

Nov 12 19:46:55 unix zmc-d0[8225]: ERR [Failed to set picture attributes: Invalid argument]
and the daemon stops.
If I turn that option off I get:

Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Seems like ZM is not able to access the shared memory segment where it stores the camera images for processing.
Are you using RedHat 9 by any chance?

Jose Rodriguez

Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Certainly am! Is there a solution??
Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Ok I'm getting further!
I have upped the shared memory limit in the kernel and now it gets further - it initialises the camera but I still get errors:

Re: Logitech QuickCam 4000 pro
Whey hey!!!
Got it working now!
Need to set the Capture palette as YUV420P to get it to work.
Now I just need to figure out how to get pwcx loaded to get a higher frame rate.
