Can't load up more than 3 camera's without odd things happen

I have an 8 port Anologue camera card - quite a good one with a BT878a chip set one chip per port.
I am having problems loading more than 3 camera's.
When I try to add a 4th it seems to switch between various camera'sâ€¦
not sure what I have done wrong, I have tried various combinations of source and channel onlt one seems to work but it only works with 3 camera's possibly I am missing something really simple...

Just a guess, but I noticed ZM did this when I did not have the camera's configured with the same frame rate setting. Compare your settings....

Oh I recompiled Zoneminder with the latest svn, and now it's OK,
However still can't get colour picturesâ€¦
I am using PALnc + Grey nothing else seems to workâ€¦
