Timeline missing - CentOS 5.5

Post by clipo »

I've have on new install been unable to get the timeline to appear when I have been playing back recorded events.

It is working perfectly on systems that have been running for some years with version 1.24.2 but with the recient issues as indicated in the following thread Ive not had any success.

http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=16933

I have a clean install as per the wiki and the bash script in the above thread but still do not have the time line visible in recoded events.

I have ffmpeg, netpbm, and cambozola installed and am at a loss to why its not there.

any suggestions.

p.s. Ive tried it with 1.24.2 and the latest 1.24.3 versions of ZM

So what do you see instead, just a blank page? Anything in your web logs?

Just to chime in with a "me too".

On 1.24.3;

On the Monitor page I'm missing : State, FPS, Force Alarm, recent Events List (but Cambozola works fine and I can see the live video)

On the playback page I'm missing; Mode, Rate, Progress, Zoom, and the Progress Bar (The actual video playback works however)

This is using Chrome. The recently released IE9 RC crashes and burns ("A problem with this page caused Internet Explorer to Close and reopen the tab")

Using Chrome's "Inspect Element" I see this error;

"Uncaught TypeError: cannot read property 'result' of null" on lines 114 and 677 of watch.js

In httpd's error_log I see;

[Sat Feb 12 00:02:06 2011] [error] [client 192.168.100.118] SQL-ERROR(6DA689): select Events.Id as Id, MonitorId, Name, Cause, StartTime, date_format( StartTime, '%y/%m/%d %H:%i:%S' ) as StartTimeShort, EndTime, Width, Height, Length, Frames, AlarmFrames, TotScore, AvgScore, MaxScore, Archived, Videoed, Uploaded, Emailed, Messaged, Executed, Notes, min(Frames.FrameId) as MinFrameId, max(Frames.FrameId) as MaxFrameId, min(Frames.Delta) as MinFrameDelta, max(Frames.Delta) as MaxFrameDelta from Events left join Frames on Events.Id = Frames.EventId where Events.Id = undefined group by Frames.EventId limit 1, referer: http://192.168.100.6/zm/index.php?view= ... c=0&page=1

[Sat Feb 12 00:02:06 2011] [error] [client 192.168.100.118] SQL-ERROR(6DA689): Unknown column 'undefined' in 'where clause', referer: http://192.168.100.6/zm/index.php?view= ... c=0&page=1

In the event playback window I get these;

getCmdResponse: stream object was null
getEventResponse: stream object was null

Both at line 230 in skin.js

If I can do anything else to help on this let me know.

Andy.

Phil,

Most of what Andy has explained is the same problem as my self.

I get the normal playback window with the video playing perfectly, but the fastforward, rewind, and play buttons are greyed out. If I press the pause button that is not greyed out they do become active and allow me to search through the video normally.

As for the time line bar it is just simply missing, and as you will know its the best way to quickly look for events ect other wise I would just ignore it and hope its fixed with the next version.

As for logs at the moment Ive not got the debug level beyond the default so the information is a bit lacking, I will up the debug level and see what messages I get.

At the moment the below are some extracts from my logs.

I'll post some more higher debug logs when I have a spare minute.

Someone had a similar problem (the 'undefined' error) a few days ago which should be fixed. Have you tried updating to a recent SVN? What is your current revision number?

Now I feel silly! I'd done the SVN upgrade, but not done a make/make install...

That has indeed fixed the missing stats etc.

There are a couple of lingering problems still (on Chrome, haven't had chance yet to try other browsers).

In the replay window, clicking "Frames" always results in "There are no frames recorded for this event", and clicking "Stills" doesn't show anything in the resulting window, although that's always been a problem on Chrome. When I was on 1.24.2 I could only get any content there by using FireFox.

Andy.

[Edit - 14/02/11]

Forget all that! Tried again this morning after a reboot of the PC and all is working :)

Great stuff !!

Phil,

Sorry for the extreme late reply,

But in case any one is search in the forums with a similar problem then I have solved this problem as Phil suggested by installing the latest SVN as the one I had installed had a bug stopping the time line.

This problem has happened once before on a pre 1.23 system and I think the same solution worked there.
