Missing Plug-in

Post by liderbug »

<sigh> hope the rest of the day goes better.....

Just switched to Google Chrome as my browser - did localhost/zm - looks good. Lets see what zm captured ... Events, first entry > Missing Plug-in <
Not "Missing the xyz plug-in" So, what plug-in do I need to install?

Thanks

Chrome - Montage - Missing Plugin Ubuntu 10

Post by Pyrrhic »

Yes, I too have this problem. Switched to Chrome for more speed and it makes a BIG difference for single cam viewing and for the console BUT, if you try to view in 'montage' mode - 'missing plugin' is the message for every cam . However, as the previous poster notes - WHICH plugin? A mystery. I too have Flash and VLC inter alia, installed and do not know where to go from here... Help would be great!

Best,

P.

i get this issue in mozilla, http://www.zoneminder.com/forums/viewto ... 21&t=17356

i don't have any other browsers to try with, but wonder why it works for you with mozilla but not in chrome?

edit: tried with chromium but get the same thing... definitely seems to me something weird with ZM is going on... i was thinking it had to do with DST since this started happening last weekend when we made the changeover and i am in AZ (no DST) but ZM console is off by 1 hr...

edit2: for me it did turn out to be a time/DST issue. i had to define the timezone in the PHP config (php.ini) and that fixed the issue for me, no longer asking for plugin. check my thread above for more info.
