Purgewhenfull vs. Events location

Post by beire »

I recently added a second hard drive to my office camera server.
Following a post on this forum, i added the symlinks to the new location whilst changing folder permissions accordingly.

Everything was running fine for a few days, until disk usage reached 100%.
Events are now empty, which is understandable with a full hard disk.

I have set the purgewhenfull filter to 80% disk space, which functioned fine up until the location change.

Logs show me nothing abnormal.
When i manually execute the filter it seems to be deleting events. But when the disk is full agail we are back to square one...

Any suggestions on this problem?
I am running 1.24.3 svn.

Yes i did, the problem shouldn't be in the configuration of the filter.
I had it working before the hard disk change.
No changes were made to the filter configuration.

Could it be that the filter is still watching the primary hard disk percentage?
This disk is now at 8%, so no reason to clear any events. Yet the disk percentage indicator shows the correct hard drive.

To whom it may interest:

My problem seems to be resolved.
I changed the following in zoneminder settings:
- In the filter options: "Limit to first X results only", I changed the default of 5 to 10.
- In the System options tab i unchecked "OPT_FAST_DELETE"

Since one of these changes the filter seems to be working fine again.

Do a" ls -l "on the sym links as well as the drive mount point.

I uselly just mount my drive to the place where you put the symlinks easier for me at least.
