I searched through the forum, and can't seem to find anyone with the specific issue i've got. I'll do my best to explain it.
Basics:
Ubuntu 10.10
Zoneminder 1.24.2
Camera: Axis M1011 network camera
I don't know if this is necessary, but this is the link to the instructions of how I installed ZM on the server: http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50199
Background on the issue:
When first set up, I had major lag/time-delay issues while watching the camera live in the Montage view. I searched the forum and found several people with the same issue. I fixed the lag by changing the "STREAM_METHOD" (options -> Images) "jpeg". I now have a live stream watching zoneminder. Been great for a few days while testing camera and software.
The Issue:
To use the software I need multiple people watching the Montage live view from different client machines. Each client machine runs Windows 7, and will be using either Chrome or Firefox to view. Client 1 (my machine) has a perfect stream image all the time. But with client machines 2-7, they all seem to be in stop animation. It's live, but more of a frame-by-frame picture show. Not a huge problem, but i wish everyone could have a nice fluid image.
I don't think it has anything to do with the physical specs of the server server, since client 1 (my machine) is streaming without a problem.
Specs of server:
Core 2 Duo @ 2.4 Ghz, 4Gbs ram; load on ZM is always 0.6-1.10
Zoneminder is the only software the machine is being used for.
I don't think it is the client machines either. All machines have the same specs as the server machine. All are using chrome or Firefox.
I've tried changing FPS on the camera, and in zoneminder as well as changing the compression settings.
It's just strange that 1 client works all the time with no problems, but none others will work.
I'm not quite sure what the problem is, any clues?
Thanks in advance!
