Kodicom 8800 no pic

i have a kodicom 8800 and it is recognized by ubuntu but not getting any picture in zoneminder:

if i run xawtv -c /dev/video1

i get a picture just fine but can't get nothing in zoneminder.

i have all the settings set up for ntsc 320/240 resolution and rgb24 palette... any ideas???

ok this is weird if i hit record it goes to the hard drive but viewing live doesn't work it's just a blank screen see below:

any help would be much appreciated i had another card couldn't get it to work so now i am on a separate card and still having problems with zoneminder!!!!

Hi, please paste the last entries of your system log after starting ZM.
You can do this with tail -n100 /var/log/messages (or wherever it is on your system)

nevermind i reinstalled and now have a completely different problem and started a different thread for it
