zm 1.24.x RTSP on debian 64bit crash
zm 1.24.x RTSP on debian 64bit crash
Dear All,
currently I installed ZM on a Qnap T259 Pro+ (Dual Atom) trying the debian squeeze amd64 installation. So far so good everything seems to work - beside the problem that the RTSP to my Axis crashs after a couple of seconds and all related functions are dead. I play around using the latest ffmpeg from debianmedia.org but i cannot fix it.
(Workaround)
After the downgrade the OS to a x86 debian squeeze the problems disappear - but with it the benefit of a real 64bit system.
Did someone have tested the zm installation with a 64bit and like to share the experiences?
Cheers
Chris

Hi mastertheknife,
I setup the Qnap again with the 64bit version to reproduce the problem switch on debugging for _zmc_m1.
Please find the zip'd log under
http://www.xit.com.hk/soft/error_log_at ... debian.zip (260kb)
http://www.xit.com.hk/soft/error_debuglevel9.zip (770kb)
there are no crashs or kernel panics in the system logs.
I expect a bug in the 64bit version of ffmeg.
Update to current Vanilla 2.6.37.1 (nonBKL).
Package: ffmpeg
State: installed
Automatically installed: yes
Version: 5:0.6.1+svn20101128-0.2
let me know if you need more infos.
thx.
Chris

Hi,
I looked at your logs but its difficult to find a problem.
Also, have you seen this thread, just few threads next to yours:

I had a bunch of compiler warning's about types after I pached the zm.h - there is some more work to do - BUT
for time being its works .
Debian squeeze packet can be download for testing from:
http://www.xit.com.hk/soft/zoneminder_1 ... _amd64.deb
@mastertheknife - thanks for the hint!
@the rest Please check it out! And give me a note if you run into a problem.
Cheers

Sorry Maid!
This build was for Debian 6 Sqeeze not for Ubuntu.
The distributions differ a lot.
for all the debian users.. this build dep's done against the latest ffmpeg
from www.debian-media.org.
Please update your source.list add:
deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org squeeze main non-free
down load and install the keyring
http://www.debian-multimedia.org/pool/m ... 26_all.deb
Q. Why apt-get doesn't find this public key : NO_PUBKEY 07DC563D1F41B907 ?
A. Install the debian-multimedia-keyring package with "dpkg -i debian-multimedia-keyring_2008.10.16_all.deb" (click on the link above to download the package).
run the safe-upgrade and enjoy the latest hits for ffmpeg etc..
