On a AMD 5000+ dualcore CPU I can get 640x480@25 fps but on a Atom 330 cpu I'm stuck with 15 fps on the same IP camera..
This is weird because all of the Atoms four threads run under 25% cpu usage.
I have libjpeg-turbo 1.1 installed and working beautyfully in both machines, actually on the Atom CPU it made a HUGE difference in cpu loads but the FPS is still the same 15?
I've changed the kernel.shmmax value to 2147483647 , is that too big or something?
I'm very impressed the libjpeg-turbo + Atom 330 cpu combination, I've checked twice my options and configs on the AMD 5000+ and Atom 330 zoneminders but they are the same.
Cameras (Heden Visioncam) push-mode works fine and with the cams own www-ui software with both machines I can get smooth 25 fps but somehow Zoneminder on the Atom board is now differently configured. What could I have missed??
Perhaps I should point out, that the AMD 5000+ cpu cannot always make steady 25fps recordings with ZM either, but usyally it can.
But if I'm stuck with 15 fps , it seems that Atom 330 with libjpeg-turbo can handle even up to 4 such recording streams.. very impressive!
