I've installed Zoneminder on a fresh install of Ubunto 10.10 desktop following the instructions in the Wiki.
I'm trying to make a Panasonic BL-C140A camera work, and not having much luck. I have it configured as:
<user>:<pass>@<ip address>
80
nphMotionJpeg?Resolution=640x480&Quality=Standard
24 bit color
640
480
zmc is running, using CPU, and tcpdump indicates it's getting HTTP/1.1 images from the camera in sequence.
However, I can't find any images written to disk, all of the stats in the console are 0, and I can't view the camera
via Zoneminder. The camera works fine when accessed directly and via the URL I have configured.
I've turned debug up to 8 and checked the logs. It appears to be connecting to the camera and downloading
data. I see no error messages.
Any tips or things to try? I'm new to ZoneMinder, but out of ideas.
1.24.2 and Panasonic BL-C140A trouble.
Re: 1.24.2 and Panasonic BL-C140A trouble.
Ok, I got it working.
I had to increase the shared memory to get the recording to work, and then it happened ok.
After that, Safari couldn't show the video. Firefox on my Mac could't either, but then I changed it from MPEG to MJPEG streaming and Firefox started working. I can now view the camera realtime via ZoneMinder, and view events.
However, no matter how I tune the events it seems to always be recording.

Re: 1.24.2 and Panasonic BL-C140A trouble.
I've seen zoneminder around for several years and am finally getting it running. I've got several panasonic cams and can only seem to connect to them sporadically using the 5fps jpeg method. I've not successfully used the mjpeg connection yet, I will try the increase of shared memory.
