"Add new monitor" button disabled

I went through a step by step tutorial to get zoneminder running on Ubuntu Server. After getting it running I added an dlink ip camera. I have been using zoneminder for a few days with that camera with no problem. I have fiddled with settings in zoneminder as well.

Now I have got a new camera that I want to add but the "Add new monitor" button is disabled on the interface. So is the checkbox for my current monitor. Why might this be?

I have found that disabling OPT_USE_AUTH enabled the add new monitor button. I then added the new camera and it was working fine then i tried re-enabling authentication and my new monitor disappeared and the button is disabled again. It was using hashed and switching to plain has not fixed the problem.

Have you modified the admin account?
Also, de-select any selected monitors in the admin's account settings.

Thanks for the info. The first camera I had got was selected in the restricted monitors section. Unfortunately de-selecting it has not fixed the problem even after rebooting. The admin user appears to have all permissions at the fullest as well.

Well, I just tried it again and it decided to work this time. I don't know what I did to fix it. I don't know enough about linux and have been barely getting by with this whole setup. I have been trying to get emailing from zoneminder working by installing certain perl modules.
