Does anyone know some small linux driven camcorder that can record 720p or fullhd on a SD card?
I'm looking for a device that would work as cheap camera placed in car behind windshield. It needs to be Linux based to allow changing the way that camera records. I need a kind of loop recording so I plan to make it record in 15 min chunks and then always delete oldest one if there is no enough free space.
Unfortunately so far I found no linux driven camcorder
linux based camcorder
Re: linux based camcorder
Do you know the Guruplug/Sheeva plugs?
I have one of this small devices running Debian with 2 ip cams, should be easy to handle a USB camera. You could use a DC-DC converter to addapt the 12VDC to the 5VDC that needs the guruplug.
Another option, maybe not linux based is this:

Hope it helps,

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...
