zms processes
zms processes
I have now been running ZM for 2 days (and good it is too!) however I seem to have 14 copies of zms running! Is this normal? The only person watching the streaming is me so I would expect to only have one copy which would die when I finish watching - is there something wrong with my setup?

Re: zms processes
Hi David,
If you have apache2 installed (maybe on RedHat 8 or 9?) then there is a bug which means that CGI processes never die. To fx this you can either upgrade your apache from 2.0.40 to 2.0.48 or whatever the latest version is, which is not trivial for most people, or there is an unofficial rpm patch available. The thread at http://www.zoneminder.com/forum_install ... 562ca4d0a6 contains the location for this.
Cheers,
Phil,
