Re: wave-p ETHER9808 v1.0 - 8 channel DVR card - WORKING
Ok so I have taken some time to learn linux so the readme and wiki actually mean something. I have gotten the card to function in xtvr or whatever it is called without trouble. I have also gotten all of the cameras to function on guvcview. I have increased the shared memory also. However, zoneminder still refuses to display anything other than a black screen. It also causes the system to crash often. I have installed it with mint since that is the only thing that will fit on the SSD I am using. I might try using an old ATA drive tomorrow with ubuntu. Takes a long time to configure linux distros just to find out you are screwed.
Re: wave-p ETHER9808 v1.0 - 8 channel DVR card - WORKING
Well I just pulled a SATA drive that I had in a system I was using as a DVR before doing my atom build. I will not be needing the single core 3ghz processor that uses twice the power when I can run a slim atom PC. I will use the new ubuntu this time around. I was tempted to do xubuntu but dont want to press my luck.
I also had something odd happen when using the commands to setup apache on my mint install. I made a typo, it gave me an error, and then I corrected it doing it again. It said something about something was setup under the same something and "I will probably never be right" WTF does that mean. Dont tell me that without giving me an option to fix it.
Will keep everyone updated.
