Using a camera that's not on ZM's compatability List

Hi all,

I have Zoneminder 1.24.2 setup and running Ubuntu 11.04 desktop and it seems to working fine.....however my camera is Linksys WVC80N which is not on Zoneminder's compatability list, so i'm wondering, what am I missing out on from Zoneminder's functionality perspective??

dont have access to a camera. Can you make it public and ill have a look.

The hardware list is far from exhaustive. If you've got a camera working that's not on there, please add your camera to the list with some basic instructions to help others.
