Hi,
I'm trying to setup my second system, improving a little bit the performance. I was looking into using lighttpd instead of apache2, because seems to use less resources. Any user has been able to replace apache2 with lighttpd?. Any advice on the performance?. I have installed lighttpd and did some testing but I only get the 'It works!" when connecting to the lighttpd port...do you have any clue?.
Thanks in advance,
PacoLM
Anyone using lighttpd instead of apache2?
Anyone using lighttpd instead of apache2?
After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

IN my experance on a dedicated (non zm ) server lightpd shows some improvement but it is nothing compared to a server called NginX.
Nginx uses like 5mb on a heavily loaded site try that with apache or lightpd. And it is rock solid.

Hi kingofkya,
Have you installed any of them in a zoneminder system?. It's good to know that there are alternatives to apache2, but setting up lighttpd seems not easy, let see how is NginX...I will spend some time today.
Thanks for the advice,
