Hi Everyone:
We've just installed ZM 1.24.2 on Ubuntu 10.4 desktop and are using an old BT878 Video Capture card with 3 assorted video cameras (probe doesn't work returns code 127). We can get them to display video and have tried Montage, but the video from other cameras seems to hop or cross over into the view of the other Monitors we have.
I've tried shmmax and shmall page/memory settings with no luck. Tried all kinds of ntsc settings and still seem to have no idea why the video won't stabilize. Any ideas, or what I can check next?
Thanks,
Dan

Re: Video "hopping" between monitors
Adjust the options::config::"CAPTURES_PER_FRAME" value to 2. If that doesn't do the trick disable "V4L_MULTI_BUFFER" these will normally fix your issue if you have multiple cameras on a single bt878 chip.

Thanks BB99 - that seemed to do the trick! Now we're going to experiment with some of these

Re: Video "hopping" between monitors
It's common to experience a drop in frame rate when making these changes; ZM is actually throwing away frames as the chip changes to the next channel which clears up the display..
