Sanity Check For a First Time install

Hi All,

I managed to get the latest version of ZM working in an UBUNTU 64 bit server VM with a couple of Edimax IC3030 cameras with very few problems.

I am now preparing a proposal for my HOA to setup a hybrid Euresys Picolo Tymo system with 11 cameras and up to 8 1024x768 ip cameras. From the posts that I have read, 20 cameras on a single server is the suggested top end.

I plan to build the server with a low end zeon Supermicro mother board 3 striped 1GB SATA 7500 server grade drives and 16GB DDR3 DRAM.

The vm is effortlessly handling the 2 cameras on a slow 4 core Phenom while running a windows host server, so I am wondering am I over doing the horse power on the server.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
