my root partition becomes full

Post by juricac »

hi! im wondering how zm fills the hard drive? where those files are stored? i didnt enable purged when full and my root partition became almost full, how can i find where the files are stored so i can remove them manually?

i uninstalled mysql and zoneminder to see if it helps but it still remains full, what can i do?

thanks!

Hi,

You had to enable the purge when full filter. If you setup the percentage of disk you want to have full, ZM automatically keeps your disk void enough. If you didn´t change the default location of events & images, you could find them in /usr/share/zoneminder/events and /usr/share/zoneminder/images. THey are not deleted even if you uninstall zm.

To erase some unuseful files, install localepurge, it will free some space on disk. Also, in the /var/log directory, look for .gz files and delete them.

Hope it helps,

PacoLM
