Jumpy/glitchy picture.

Post by cilione »

Using a 10$ PICO2000 clone, bttv card=77.
Port 1 works just fine, it's just that if I connect two cameras to the card, one of them gets glitchy/jumpy. I've checked cables on both cameras by plugging them in one at the time, no errors.

Hardware or software problem?

Cameras running at 384*288 (PAL B, RGB555, 10 fps).
Shared memory: 128MB.

Try changing your CAPTURES_PER_FRAME value to 2 or 3.

Hopefully a value of 2 worked for your card keeping your total throughput to 15 fps.

Next step to try is to disable "options::config::V4L_MULTI_BUFFER" by unticking and restarting ZM.

This worked for me!

Changed it to 3 and all's well.
