I will soon be jetting off (hopefully) and leaving the business to my partner, problem is, she can't fix computers.
Is it possible for me to set up the zoneminder computer as a vpn server? and if so, how? Is there a wiki page or something similar that would take me through the process?
In the hope that the answer is yes, BT have very kindly (for a small fee) given the business a static IP, so that's a start I suppose...
Can zoneminder be set up as a vpn server?
Re: Can zoneminder be set up as a vpn server?
I have zoneminder installed on Ubuntu, which can be set up to do many things, including vpns.
Openvpn is relatively easy to set up, and requires only 1 port open in the router/firewall. Openvpn is also nice in that there are clients for Windows and most other OSes.
Many routers/firewalls have a built in VPN, so that might be the first place to look...
