I am very sorry to bother again this community with silly questions... but has been three days of struggle here, with zero results...
Arch Linux, full updated. ZM 1.25.0. Kernel 3.1.5-1. Geovision 800(S) card.
It IS working with Windows XP and the Geovisoin original software.
The devices:
# ls -la /dev/video*
crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 81, 0 Dec 21 14:47 /dev/video0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 81, 2 Dec 21 14:31 /dev/video1
crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 81, 4 Dec 21 11:57 /dev/video2
crw-rw-rw- 1 root video 81, 6 Dec 21 11:57 /dev/video3
A V4l test:
# v4l2-dbg -d /dev/video0 -D
Driver info:

At /etc/modprobe.d/bttv.conf i am using this context:
options bttv card=157,157,157,157 tuner=4,4,4,4
options bttv card=158,158,158,158 tuner=4,4,4,4
Even xawtv only produces a blue screen with any of the three "Composites" !!
This is the damm card:

This could be an indication of the problem, but i do not know how to interpret :
# /srv/http/bin/zmu -d /dev/video2 -V2 -q
error0
Is there support for version 1 of the V4l at this ZM 1.25 ?
Does anyone knows if this kind of card must be first "activated" somehow before the usage ??
The solution is to follow my own post at:
