Slow installing cameras

Post by shin234 »

I have just installed ZM on Ubuntu 10.04 and this is my second reinstall after hitting a few issues. the last one i am having is it takes almost 20 min for the system to install all the CCTV cams to dev/videoXX and then about 10 more minutes for them all to all go green. anyone have any ideas?

Once you have your setup working, install phpmyadmin and do an export of your zm database.

After more than 15 years, no longer using ZM as surveillance system.
Now in the dark side, using a commercial system...

I think I've read your first post very quickly. I thought you were complaining about the monitor configuration itself, not ZM being slow. Could you post your /var/log/syslog when starting the application?.
