I've been looking at screenshots, and it seems I have lot of missing features in my install, is there specific components I need to install separately?
For example, I don't have the "cycle / Montage" link on the main page.
I also do not have the ability to set monitor zones, it looks like there's a place where I can set what area of the camera's view is monitored. I don't see that feature anywhere.
In fact I really don't see much. Not even the time line feature. Each screenshot I look at, I don't have a way of getting to that view. Seems my install is for monitoring live streams only or something. I had lot of trouble getting this to work because of all the dependencies, so maybe I did something wrong?
Another thing, how do I record video, and how do I specify where to store it? I set a camera to mocord and it does show "new event" but it just seems really flaky. For example for frames it says null/null, which does not seem right.
If I click on the event, I just get a blank player page. There's buttons to play and stuff but they do not do anything, it's just blank. If I click video, it says there's no video available. Basically everything just does not do anything.
Here's a screenshot to what I mean.
I'm just trialing this right now, but I'm really hoping to get it to work as it really seems promising based on the screenshots, it just seems I can't get to any of those features for some reason.
I'm running it on CentOS 6. Currently only have one drive, but eventually I want to store all data on a iSCSI SAN or other storage device. (I would mount it myself, so I just need a way to tell it where to store files, which I can't seem to find either).

Re: A few questions
So I left it overnight to see what would happen. The UI is barely responsive, it just keeps acting like it's loading but nothing happens and the server load is over 1 so seems it's caught up in an infinite loop of some sort. What did I do wrong with this install? Is there a yum package somewhere to automate the install and I can retry to install it that way?
One thing I did notice is that the general movement of camera pixels causes it to always be in alarm. Don't know if that's normal or not.
