Groups not restricting event search

I've got a small ZM system with 4 cameras on it, only two of which are of interest;
Having made a group containing just the two of interest - the console restricts correctly, as does montage display;

However, if I use any of the bottom line searches on the console (all events / hour / day / week / month), the search results show events from ALL cameras - is this normal behaviour, or should these searches not be restricted to the current viewed group?

Had a quick search, and couldnt find this issue posted anywhere - sorry if it's already been noted.
